ZWART Trophy - 1st U19 Tournament of 2026

I am incredibly proud of our 1st Team Water Polo, the Sharks, who were crowned ZWART Trophy Champions for 2026 in Harare.

The tournament was held at St John's College, and the boys delivered a composed, disciplined campaign from start to finish. Winning four out of five matches, they showed real maturity in the pool, staying focused under pressure and backing each other in every game.

Their teamwork, resilience, and work ethic are exactly what CBC sport stands for, and it was a privilege to watch that come together over the course of the tournament.

Acknowledgements

I would also like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the management and coaching team. Working alongside Louis Scheepers and Danisa Khumalo has been a pleasure, and their support, insight, and tireless effort behind the scenes played a major role in our success.

A special word of congratulations must go to St John's College for hosting two major water polo tournaments in a single weekend. The organisation, facilities, and overall standard of hosting were excellent, and it takes a huge amount of work to run events of that scale so smoothly.

Their efforts played an important role in making the weekend a success for all the schools involved.

Lastly, a sincere thank you to our parents and supporters. Your constant presence, encouragement, and belief in the boys meant a great deal and made a real difference throughout the tournament.

Well done, Sharks. This is a special achievement and one the entire CBC community can be proud of.
